Catherine is Professor and Head of School, School of Nursing, Midwifery and Indigenous Health, at Charles Sturt University, Australia. This School is located on multiple campuses in rural New South Wales – Albury, Wagga Wagga, Bathurst, Orange and Dubbo; and also includes a large distance education cohort of students located across Australia. Catherine is also a credentialed mental health nurse, as well as an endorsed Nurse Practitioner who is actively involved in leading and promoting the Nurse Practitioner role through education and research. Catherine is also lead author of the highly successful textbook: "Mental Health Care An Introduction for Health Professionals in Australia", which will shortly be going into its 3rd edition.
