Charles Paxton is statistical ecologist at the University of St Andrews who teaches scientific thinking. He has an interest in the ecology of aquatic organisms and the history and hard science behind stories and reports of aquatic monster.

He has worked on the ecology and behaviour of guppies, catfishes, perch, pike, ostriches, penguins, whales, basking sharks and the Loch Ness Monster!
