Independent Researcher (PhD, Monash), Monash University

Charles Villet taught philosophy and ethics at various universities in Johannesburg from 2003 to 2018. He holds a PhD from Monash University, which looks at whiteness and the struggle for recognition in post-Apartheid South Africa. His current research falls within the fields of postcolonial, whiteness and Foucault studies with a focus on the politics of recognition. He is now an independent researcher based in Germany.
