Charlotte Heath-Kelly

Associate Professor, Politics and International Studies, University of Warwick

I am an Associate Professorof Politics and International Studies at the University of Warwick. I work on issues of terrorism, memorialisation and counter-terrorism policies (such as profiling, and the Prevent Strategy).

I am currently Principal Investigator on an ESRC funded project, entitled 'Resilience at the Bombsite: Reconstructing Post-Terrorist Space' (2016-19). This project compares the reconstruction of bombsites in Norway, the USA, the UK, Spain and France. It looks at how public authorities perform post-disaster societal 'resilience' by reconstructing bombsites - especially through memorials and architecture.

My second book, 'Death and Security: Memory and Mortality at the Bombsite', was published by Manchester University Press in late 2016.
