I am a biodiversity analyst interested in the patterns of biodiversity across space and time. I am focusing on the questions relating to the latitudinal, longitudinal, and depth gradient in species diversity and their potential drivers. I am also interested in understanding and quantifying the impact of climate change on species diversity in the past, present and future. In past projects, I have explored the patterns in a variety of taxa, including nearly 50,000 marine species, and 330 genera of ants. The work ranged from exploring spatial gradients to defining biogeographic realms on a global scale.
