Chibuikem Nnaeme

Chibuikem C. Nnaeme is a doctoral candidate in Development Studies at University of Johannesburg; he has a Masters degree in the same discipline from University of KwaZulu-Natal; Before that he obtained Bachelor of Social Science Honours (cum laude) in International Relations from University of KwaZulu-Natal. He also has Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy (magna cum laude) from St Joseph Theological Institute, Cedara. His research interests include social protection, agency, livelihoods, informal economy, labour, epistemology, African philosophy, and ethics. He has also published in accredited journals. As a result of his academic prowess, Chibuikem has earned numerous academic awards and scholarships including the famous Rick Turner Scholarship (2014) for academic excellence, community involvements, and leadership qualities. Chibuikem is a prestigious member of Golden Key International. He remains grateful to National Research Foundation (NRF) for fully funding his doctorate through the SAChi Chair of Welfare and Social Development, Professor Leila Patel
