I am currently the Discover Materials National Outreach Officer at University of Birmingham and coordinate the activities of the Discover Materials group which is a group from ten universities which promotes Materials Science and the wonderful careers opportunities a degree in the area can open up.
Previously, I was a chemistry and physics lecturer at Nottingham Trent University and my research interests include the surface chemistry of solid surfaces and the physical chemistry of bubbles and foams.
My previous postdoctoral research positions include studying, and modelling, enhanced erosion of water repellent soils, the effect of the wettability of inclusions on photoresists and the formulation of fluorine free foam formulations for fire fighting foams.
