Business School Associate Director, Edge Hill University

Dr Chris Phelan is an Associate Director of Edge Hill University Business School. He is responsible for the Business School international portfolio, including partnerships, student exchanges and transnational programmes. His research considers the contribution of entrepreneurs and small business owners to local economic development. In particular, the role of competencies and skills development within regional entrepreneurial ecosystems. Chris is particularly interested in the potential for entrepreneurship to contribute to poverty reduction and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
