Christie Swanepoel

I am a PhD in Economic History with a specialized focus on financial history and network analysis. I have written on the private financial markets of the Cape Colony, the property rights of the Cape Colony and the effects of intergenerational wealth. Currently, I am working on projects on the history of banking in the nineteenth century, the monetary independence of the South African Reserve Bank during the twentieth century and education in South African history.
