Dr Christine Steinmetz is an Associate Professor in City Planning at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. Christine has been a chief investigator on a multi award-winning smart city research team having secured over 3.5 million AUD from Commonwealth and State sources. Their award-winning smart outdoor furniture, co-designed with Georges River Council and Street Furniture Australia, was awarded the Best Planning Ideas—Small Project in Planning Excellence from the Planning Institute of Australia and recognised by the World Bank.
