I am working as a Research and Policy Fellow (equivalent of an Assistant Professor) in the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University. I completed my Masters of International and Development Economics from Yale University and my PhD in Economics at the Australian National University. My research has been featured in leading media outlets, including the New York Times, the Economist and the BBC.
Over the last decade I have worked as an economist for a range of organisations including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UNICEF, the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) and the Australian Government. I have also helped to pioneer the use of randomized control trials in Papua New Guinea and elsewhere in the Pacific.
