Christopher Phelps

Christopher Phelps is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow specializing in Economics at Curtin University. His research predominantly centres around critical aspects of Australian housing policy, exploring themes such as housing affordability, supply dynamics, and policy settings. He has also produced outputs related to population ageing and behavioural psychology.

Christopher's doctoral studies at Curtin University revolved around residential segregation within Australian cities, for which he was awarded the 2021 Peter Barrington Gold Medal Award for research excellence in the study of land economy. Currently, his primary focus lies in investigating intergenerational wealth inequality, a pertinent issue in today's housing landscape.
