I am a Research Fellow in economic and business history at Macquarie University, Sydney.
I am interested in the ways that interpersonal connections affect knowledge, markets, and business strategy.
My research focusses on corporate networks, interlocking directorates, the global wool trade, multinational enterprise, and the development of interdisciplinary knowledge in economic history.
I adopt a variety of methodologies to understand historical phenomena, including social network analysis, geographic information systems, oral history, prosopography, and archival research. I serve on the executive of the Economic History Society of Australia and New Zealand.
