Professor of Government and West Professor of Economics and Social Science, Lawrence University

Claudena Skran is Professor of Government at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. Her research and writing focuses on the role of international organizations in providing emergency relief in post-conflict societies. She is also the founder of Kidsgive, a scholarship program for children in Sierra Leone, where she spent six months studying post-conflict development on a Fulbright Scholarship. She also has conducted field research in El Salvador, Mexico and Belize. She has written Refugees in Interwar Europe: The Emergence of a Regime for Oxford University Press. She holds a DPhil and MPhil in international relations from the University of Oxford, and a BS in Social Science from Michigan State University.
