I am a Ph.D. candidate at the department of political & social change at the Australian National University. My researches are on politics in Southeast Asian contexts with a focus on democracy, populism, and the youth. I am especially interested in Philippine & Thailand politics & society. Prior to coming to moving to Canberra, I was an assistant professor and chair of the political science program at the University of the Philippines in Manila from 2015 to 2018. I hold a BA & MA degrees in political science from the University of the Philippines and the Central European University, respectively.
