I hold bachelors degrees in Divinity (London Univerity), and Physics (Sydney University) as well as a Doctorate in Psychology (Macquarie University). My academic empirical research for the past 15 years has been on human thinking and reasoning including the domain of religious ideation and the cognitive mechanisms in the mind which carry out reasoning and thinking processes. I have a Diploma in Secondary Education and was for 12 years a Secondary High School Science teacher. I have worked in Counselling services prior to my appointment at Macquarie University (1994) where I was Foundation Director establishing the new Counselling Psychology Program.
