Senior Lecturer Indigenous Health. Specializing in Sexual Health, The University of Queensland

I'm originally from Cairns, Far North Queensland. I'm a graduate of the Indigenous Health Program, University of Queensland (UQ) and of Torres Strait Islander decent. I completed an Honours degree with UQ and have a Masters of Applied Epidemiology (ANU). I've worked in Indigenous health for never 20 years with Queensland Health, UQ and the Institute of Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH). I've been involved with a number of research projects including an analysis of the perinatal data set for Indigenous infants in Queensland, injury prevention in a remote Indigenous community, an evaluation of a Hepatitis A surveillance system and in the area of SIDS (looking at quality and completeness of SIDS autopsy data). I'm currently works as a senior lecturer at the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies Unit at UQ and I'm currently undertaking his PhD.
