Connie joined the Stockholm Environment Institute at the start of 2020. Working with Lisa Emberson (previously centre director, now based in the Environment and Geography Department at York) she is contributing towards various projects including: investigating the potential impacts of a large-scale coal mine in Colombia; conducting DO3SE model runs to estimate the effects of Ozone on vegetation; and analysing international datasets to assess the extent and impact of manufacturing industries in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.

She has previously researched the economic viability of forest regeneration on European sheep pasture as a climate change mitigation strategy.
