Senior Lecturer in Constitutional Law, University College Cork

Dr Conor O'Mahony is an internationally recognised expert in constitutional law and child and family law, with a particular focus on constitutional interpretation, constitutional amendment, educational rights and child protection. His work has been widely published in leading journals such as the International Journal of Constitutional Law, Public Law, the Child and Family Law Quarterly and the International Journal of Law, Policy and the Family. His recent scholarship has focused primarily on comparative studies on marriage equality, and on court proceedings in child protection cases. He is co-PI on the IDEA project (Improving Decisions through Empowerment and Advocacy), a five country €500,000 project funded by the European Commission to build children's rights capacity among child protection professionals.
