Associate Professor, Department of Anatomy and Developmental Biology, Monash University

Associate Professor Dagmar Wilhelm leads the “Non-coding RNA and Sex Determination” Laboratory in the Department of Anatomy and Developmental Biology. The research topics in the Wilhelm lab are 1) the role of non-coding RNAs in development; and 2) molecular genetics of ovarian development.

Throughout her career Dagmar Wilhelm has been interested in different aspects of gene regulation in cell differentiation and development. Her aim now is to discover the mechanisms of gene regulation and the in vivo function of non-coding RNAs in development using mouse gonad development as the experimental system.
