Daniel Adeoluwa Adeniyi

Daniel Adeoluwa Adeniyi holds a PhD in Development Studies from the University of the
Western Cape, South Africa. A former doctoral scholar of the African Pathways Programme,
Adeniyi holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Urban and Regional Planning from
Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria and a Master of Development Studies (Cum Laude)
degree from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. He also holds an MPhil (Cum Laude) degree in Monitoring and Evaluation from Stellenbosch University. His research interests include
food systems, resource governance, circular economy, natural resources management, migration, urban planning as well as monitoring and evaluation. His doctoral thesis examined the contributions
and potentials of irrigation agriculture towards ensuring food security and poverty reduction in
North West Nigeria.
