Daniel Buarque é pesquisador do pós-doutorado do Instituto de Relações Internacionais da USP e doutor em relações internacionais pelo programa de PhD conjunto do King’s College London (KCL) e do IRI/USP. É jornalista, tem mestrado em Brazil in Global Perspective pelo KCL e é autor dos livros “Brazil, um país do presente” (Alameda) e “O Brazil É um País Sério?” (Pioneira). Daniel Buarque is a post-doctoral researcher in international relations at the Instituto de Relações Internacionais (IRI) - USP (Brazil), currently conducting a study about democracy and status of nations.

He holds a PhD in international relations from the Joint PhD programme in International Relations of King's College London and Universidade de São Paulo (USP- Brazil), completed in 2022, a MA in Brazil in Global Perspective, with Distinction, from King's College London (completed in 2014), and a BA in Social Communication and Journalism from Universidade Católica de Pernambuco (completed in 2003).

Author of six books published in Brazil, he is currently the executive-editor of the Brazilian international relations website Interesse Nacional.
