(He/Him)
Full Professor, Department of Psychology, Mount Saint Vincent University

Dr. Séguin earned a Ph.D in Developmental Psychology (social development), an M.A. in Human Development, and a B.A. (Hons.) in general Psychology. He is purposeful in his research to cover significant breadth in developmental psychology and has been the lead in developing and maintaining four main streams of research that are interrelated as they represent the social, emotional, and academic well-being of children and of their families. While Dr. Séguin thinks developmental psychology itself is fascinating, the areas that particularly pique his interest include Meta-Emotion Philosophy, parenting, goodness of fit, childhood regulation and temperament, and developmentally based variables related to emotional and academic outcomes.
