Daniel Guinness is a postdoctoral researcher based at the University of Amsterdam. He received DPhil in Anthropology from Oxford University in 2014. His academic interests are in the changing social relations and performances of masculinities in the context of globalised neoliberal labour markets, particularly those involving sporting migration. He has undertaken ethnographic field research in Fiji, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand and France. His current research, reported herein, has received funding from the European Research Council for a project entitled “Globalization, Sport and the Precarity of Masculinity” (GLOBALSPORT). http://global-sport.eu/research-team
