Danielle’s research explores citizen-centric approaches to improve societal health and wellbeing through food. The focus of her current work is to understand how citizen engagement, multi-disciplinary and cross stakeholder approaches can positively impact children’s health. Danielle has recently returned to academic research from an established career working across the food, pharmaceutical, retail and tech industries. She has previously held positions as Principal Scientist at GlaxoSmithKline and Head of Nutrition at Sainsbury’s. Her industry expertise lies in the design and commercialisation of nutrition and health research, through new product and service development, communications and the delivery of commercial health strategies.
