Senior Lecturer in Medieval Literature, University of Leicester

I specialise in literature from the medieval period. Currently, I'm working on medieval gender and sexuality and I'm also investigating how 21st century novelists and film makers have responded to medieval culture.

My books include: Gender, Violence, and the Past in Edda and Saga (Oxford University Press, 2012), and Between Medieval Men: Male Friendship and Desire in Early Medieval Literature (Oxford University Press, 2009; paperback 2013).
