David Ellis

I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the School of Law and Social Justice at the University of Liverpool. My doctoral research included a study of the historic growth of personal indebtedness in the UK from a cultural political economy perspective. My other research interests focus upon political economy, social policy, the welfare state, financialization, and, in particular, it's relation to personal finance. I have also collaborated in major research projects with organisations such as Democratic Audit and the Law Commission.
