David H. Feldman

Professor of Economics, William & Mary

David Feldman received his A.B. from Kenyon college in 1978 and his M.A. (1980) and Ph.D. (1982) in economics from Duke University. He taught at Duke (1981-84) and at Colgate University (1984-89) before coming to William & Mary in the Fall of 1989. David currently teaches a seminar on the economics of higher education, a course on trade theory & policy, and an interdisciplinary international relations class. His current research examines college cost, the demand for higher education, and the impact of federal and state higher education policy.

He is the author of "Why Does College Cost so Much?" and "The Road Ahead for America's Colleges and Universities," published by Oxford University Press.
