David Leaver is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Retail, Marketing and Tourism at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School. His interest in music tourism stems from the interaction of place, music and emotion driven consumer behaviour. He has been the keynote speaker at Dylan Days Festival which celebrates Bob Dylan in his hometown of Hibbing, Minnesota; advised Birmingham on its music tourism; written research articles; featured on Australian radio http://www.abc.net.au/radio/programs/overnights/music-tourism-with-david-leaver/7728472.
He has been included in William Ellis’s OneLP series in which musicians and writers talk about their favourite album. http://onelp.com/one-lp-portraits/arts--media--venues/a---g/david-leaver/DAVID-LEAVERolpwb_-William-Ellis/
His favourite possession is a piece of bathroom tile laid down by Bob Dylan’s father in the Dylan family home, Hibbing. The closest he ever got to Bob was meeting his cousin in Duluth, Minnesota.
