Gerry Higgins Lecturer in Shakespeare Studies, University of Melbourne

David McInnis is the Gerry Higgins Lecturer in Shakespeare Studies in the English and Theatre Studies program. His research focuses on lost plays from Shakespeare's England.

His most recent book is the edited collection Lost Plays in Shakespeare's England (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014; co-edited with Matthew Steggle). With Roslyn L. Knutson and Matthew Steggle, he is founder and co-editor of the Lost Plays Database (www.lostplays.org).

He is Vice President of the Australian and New Zealand Shakespeare Association (ANZSA), and Secretary of the Marlowe Society of America (MSA).
