David W. Rasmussen

James H. Gapinski Professor of Economics, Florida State University

Dr. Rasmussen served as Dean of the College fo Social Sciences and Public Policy from 2003 to 2016. Over his career Professor Rasmussen’s scholarly research and policy evaluation studies have addressed important public policy questions, including the economics of discrimination, urban and regional economic development, the economics of crime and substance abuse policy and housing economics. His current research is focused on the economics of aging. Professor Rasmussen has written (or co-authored) five books and published over 75 articles in leading professional journals.
