Daygan Eagar is a programme manager for the Rural Health Advocacy Project responsible for its Rural Proofing Policy and Budgeting Programme (RPPBP) The project is a partnership between the University of Witwatersrand's Centre for Rural Health, the Rural Doctors Association of Southern Africa and SECTION27. He is responsible for ensuring that the programme successfully advocates for rural proofing to become standard practice in all policy making, planning and budgeting in the health sector in South Africa. Daygan is trained as a Social Anthropologist but now plies his trade in public health research and budget analysis.
