DB Subedi is a lecturer in Peace and Conflict Studies in the School of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Queensland in Australia. His research and teaching interest focus on peace, conflict and security with particular focus on power, governance and policy and how they impact addressing violent conflicts, recovery and reconstruction after war and disasters and facilitating humanitarian support in natural and man-made disasters.
He has conducted fieldwork in South and South-East Asia, especially Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar and Bangladesh. He is a co-editor of The Routledge Handbook of Populism in the Asia Pacific"(Routledge 2023) and "Reconciliation in Conflict-Affected Communities" (Springer, 2018), and the author of Combatants to Civilians'' (Palgrave, 2018).
