Lecturer in French Studies, Lancaster University

I am a lecturer in French studies and the author of several articles on Houellebecq's books as well as the co-translator of his Art of Struggle with Timothy Mathews. I am currently writing a book entitled: Michel Houellebecq: Literature and Aesthetics in the Era of Globalisation.

My broader research interests are in Modern and Contemporary French literature, literature and globalisation, Modernism and Modernity, literature from the Franco-German borderlands, world literature, literature and the politics of cosmopolitanism, literature in translation, poetry, literary genres, theories of the text, multilingual literatures.
