Dermot Feenan is a reseacher specialising in socio-legal research.

He has held a number of university appointments in the UK and USA, plus visiting appointments worldwide, including at the American Bar Foundation, Columbia, Cornell, Emory, Keele, London, Melbourne, Monash, Oxford, and Trinity College Dublin.

After his degree in law at Queen’s University Belfast, he obtained an M.A. in Medical Ethics and Law from King’s College London and LL.M. from Queen’s University, Canada. He is a Barrister-at-Law (non-practising) of the Inn of Court of Northern Ireland.

He has edited a number of publications including books Exploring the ‘Socio’ of Socio-Legal Studies and Informal Criminal Justice, and special issues for the International Journal of Law in Context and Feminist Legal Studies.
