Dickson Lukose

Dr. Lukose has over 25 years of experience in professional consulting services and in applied research & development in Artificial Intelligence Systems. Prior to joining Monash Data Futures Institute at Monash University, Dr Lukose was the Chief Data Scientist at GCS Agile Pty. Ltd. (Australia), leading a team of Data Engineers and Scientist building Predictive Models, Ontology Modelling and Engineering. During his role as the Chief Research Director and Director of Artificial Intelligence Centre in MIMOS Berhad (Malaysia) from 2007 to 2016 he was responsible for leading a team of 70 research scientist, software platform architects, software engineering and knowledge engineers in creating intellectual properties and commercialisation of these patents by incorporating these technologies into large scale national project for the private and public sectors in Malaysia. In addition to actualising the strategic roadmap of the lab, his role also involve mentoring and guiding his team on the application of novel AI techniques and technologies including Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Semantic Web, Knowledge Graphs, Social Network Analytics, and Natural Language Processing to solve challenging real-world problems. Earlier in his career, Dr. Lukose worked as Principal Knowledge Engineer with Mindbox Inc. (USA), responsible for architecture and development of high-performance Artificial Intelligence software for the Utility and Financial Sector. He holds a BSc (Hons) and a PhD from Deakin University (Australia).
