Doctor in Philosophy, Political scientist and Visiting Research Fellow at the Department of Politics, The University of Adelaide. Research in Refugee and Asylum Seeker Policy. author of "Asylum Seekers-Australia's response to refugees" and articles on the subject of Australian detention policies. Former Chairperson and spokesperson for Justice for Refugees SA, an advocacy group formed after the Tampa crisis of 2001. Guest lecturer for Politics courses at the University of Adelaide.
