Dr Lea Campbell is engaged in research on teaching and learning, especially in the area of work integrated learning (WIL) at The University of Melbourne where she leads the university wide WIL network. She was also the founding President of a community language school and co-founded Our Children, Our Schools (OCOS), a public education alliance consisting of 33 groups across Victoria all working towards high equity and high quality public education and its planned provision. She founded a STEM club for children aged 4-12 called VDIni, which is supported by The Association of German Engineers, VDI. She also coordinates the Victorian Parliamentary Internship Program on behalf of the School of Social and Political Sciences since 2011 jointly with Assoc Prof Paul Strangio from Monash University.
