Dr Vivien Forner (PhD, MBA, BPsych) is an applied academic researcher and Director of Research at the Institute of Management Psychology.
She is an engaging presenter who is passionate about helping organisations access and benefit from scholarly research to make better places for people to work. Vivien has led collaborative industry-research partnerships and has extensive experience designing, implementing, and evaluating programs to help address strategic leadership and people issues.
Her research interests focus on leadership and motivation and she has dedicated much of her work to helping volunteer organisations, including several Emergency Service Agencies, address strategic volunteer leadership and retention challenges. Vivien is a research associate of the University of Wollongong where she also teaches psychology, organizational behaviour, and human resource development. Complimenting her academic work, Vivien brings 15 years’ experience as a leadership and organisational development professional working with organisations to identify and grow their future leaders.
