Dráulio Barros de Araújo

Draulio has graduated in physics in 1995, and concluded his Ph.D in 2002 in physics applied to medicine and biology, working with functional neuroimaging tools. He currently works as a professor of neuroscience at the Brain Institute in Natal, Brazil. His scientific interests are focused at using human neuroscience tools to explore the altered state of consciousness induced by ayahuasca. He has also been interested in exploring the antidepressant potential of ayahuasca.
