Research Fellow, NIHR MindTech MedTech Co-Operative, University of Nottingham

E Bethan Davies joined NIHR MindTech MedTech Co-Operative as a Research Fellow within their Children & Young Person’s theme in April 2015, shortly after completing her PhD within the Division of Psychiatry & Applied Psychology at the University of Nottingham. This focused on the mental health of university students, and in particular in how online resources may help improve their mental health literacy and self-management of mental health issues. She continues to have a great interest in student mental health and in how digital technologies may help in the recognition, management and treatment of mental health issues in this population. Bethan’s other interests include how people help others experiencing a mental health issue (also known as ‘mental health first aid’) and psychological factors influencing this, the evaluation of digital interventions (e.g. internet interventions) for physical and mental health issues, and children and young people’s experiences and perceptions of receiving health services and treatments.
