I am a developmental psychologist with a background in social, personality, and educational psychology.
My research examines the developing self. How do social experiences shape children's self-views, such as narcissism and self-esteem? How do these self-views, in turn, shape children’s mental health, social relationships, and educational achievement? And how can interventions cultivate adaptive self-views to help at-risk children flourish?
Although my work is driven by intrinsic curiosity, I am committed to using developmental science to address social problems, such as inequality.
