I am a Senior Lecturer in Cognitive Psychology at the University of Huddersfield. I have previously worked at the University of Texas at Dallas, and I conducted my PhD at the University of York, UK. My research is on the topic of face recognition. I investigate how people learn new faces, and I study face recognition performance of humans and machines, particularly in challenging face recognition scenarios.
My recent research projects include investigation of face recognition performance of super-recognisers, and forensic examiners, as well as the performance of face recognition algorithms, and human-machine systems.
I have experience in working with applied users of face recognition internationally, including police and forensic face examiners.
