Lecturer in Politics, University of East Anglia

Dr. Eitan Tzelgov is a Lecturer in Politics (Quantitative Methods). Prior to joining the UEA, he was a post-doctoral research fellow in the Varieties of Democracy Institute at the University of Gothenburg. His research focuses on the strategic interaction between and within political parties, with a special emphasis on their use of legislative speeches. His dissertation, "Words as Weapons: Opposition Rhetoric and Partisan Strategy", was the Recipient of the Carl Albert Award for the best dissertation in the area of legislative studies by the American Political Science Association (APSA), 2014. He has also published on the use of rhetoric in the Israeli Knesset.
