Elaine Gregersen

Dr Elaine Gregersen is an Associate Professor of Law at Northumbria University, UK. In 2016, Elaine was awarded the National Teaching Fellowship for her excellence in clinical teaching practice and pedagogic research. In the same year, she was also named Law Teacher of the Year at the Northern Law Awards. She currently supervises law undergraduates who provide free legal advice to businesses through Northumbria Law School's world-leading and award winning pro bono law clinic, the Student Law Office.

Elaine’s Professional Doctorate in Law utilised lived experience research (autoethnography) to explore her role as a law clinic supervisor. In 2019, her autoethnographic research on mental health illness in academia was Highly Commended in the Emerald Global Literati Awards for Excellence.
