Elizabeth Cham worked in philanthropy for over two decades including ten years as CEO of Philanthropy Australia. She has recently completed a PhD on Trustee Companies and their role in Australian philanthropy. Elizabeth has also worked for a Prime Minister, Leader of the Opposition and a Premier. She is currently an Honorary Fellow, Business School, University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and Vice Chair of the progressive think tank, The Australia Institute, and a director for seven years.

She is also on the Board of the Australian and New Zealand Third Sector Research Association (ANZTSR) the regional umbrella body for scholars interested in the not-for-profit sector and philanthropy.
