Elizabeth Teracino

Elizabeth A. Teracino, Ph.D., is an Information Systems scholar and Research Fellow in the Global Center for Digital Business Transformation, a joint initiative between the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) and Cisco. Elizabeth researches and publishes on the topics of, but is not limited to: innovation management and strategy in emerging technology markets, digital innovation-driven organizational and institutional change, digital business transformation, digital leadership and culture, and value co-creation.

Prior to joining IMD, Dr. Teracino completed a Ph.D. degree (Dr.) in economics at the University of Groningen (Netherlands) in 2017. Her doctoral degree was a part of a Netherlands Foundation for Scientific Research (NWO) initiative among Utrecht University, the University of Groningen, and top Dutch enterprise resource planning software (ERP) firms, during which she additionally fulfilled the role as a research and strategy consultant to the ERP firms.

Elizabeth received her Master of Science, summa cum laude, in Security and Information Assurance (Forensics) from the Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems at Pace University (New York), and her Bachelor of Science from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh). She has practitioner experience in internet technology, marketing and publishing departments at corporate and nonprofit entities in New York, Pittsburgh and Beijing.
