Climateworks Centre Energy System Lead, Monash University

Dr. Emi Gui is the Energy System Lead at Climateworks Centre. She is an energy transition and decentralized energy system expert and advisor, and leads the development of initiatives and programs in energy system decarbonisation, electricity sector transitions and net zero energy planning in Australia and Southeast Asia.

Emi joins Climateworks with 15 years’ experience in energy consulting and research in Australia, Asia-Pacific, and Europe, including policy design, the electricity market, energy infrastructure planning and renewable energy market research. Emi has a PhD in Energy Policy and Energy Economics from the University of New South Wales. She also holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School in Australia and a Master of Engineering from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
