PhD student in Palaeobiology, University of Bristol

I am a palaeobiology PhD student at the University of Bristol. My research is examining the origins of animals through the use of fossils and molecular clocks. I'm interested in how different methods can be used to answer similar questions, and why the results differ.

For my Master's degree at the University of Bristol I investigated the decay process of green and red algae. By understanding how different organisms decay we can learn how they might appear in the fossil record - this aids our investigations of early life.
