Emily’s research interests incorporate a sociological and geographical interest in global food culture, affective tastes and food tourism. Emily’s research focuses on the politics of affect, emotion and embodied encounters in everyday life, incorporating theories from across the disciplines of sociology and human geography.
Within this, Emily draws on methodologies that attempt to capture the sensual and affective experiences of everyday life and powerful moments of visceral politics.
